How does 21 billing cycles of no interest sound to you? How about not paying an annual fee or even penalty APR?
This card seems to have been designed specifically for the individual seeking to avoid paying interest. Read on and find out whether it is for you!
BankAmericard® credit card: how does it work?
The BankAmericard® credit card seems to have been designed with a single purpose in mind: saving money on credit card interest. Other than that, it does not offer too many benefits.
All balance transfers you make within the first 60 days of card membership will be free of interest for 21 billing cycles.
Keep in mind, however, that a 3% or minimum $10 fee (whichever is greater) applies to all balance transfers.
If you make purchases using your card during the promo APR period, you will also pay no interest on them. After the promo APR period is over, the ongoing APR is a variable 14.99% to 24.99%.
Even though the card does not charge a penalty APR, if you are late on a payment you will pay a steep late fee.
Also, if you are more than 30 days late on a payment, your credit score will take a hit.
The card does not offer any ongoing rewards such as cash back or points. If your priority is to pay down debt, rewards should not be your primary concern.
Still, there are credit cards in the market that offer both a long 0% APR period and ongoing rewards at no annual fee.
These are cards you might want to keep even after the 0% APR period is over, differently from the BankAmericard® credit card.
This card is a no-brainer option if you just want to eliminate debt, but bear in mind once you have accomplished that, the card will not offer much value.
