Free Spirit® Travel More World Elite Mastercard®: how does it work?
The Free Spirit® Travel More World Elite Mastercard® is a credit card that offers broad ongoing rewards. It has valuable airline benefits like companion flight vouchers, priority boarding and rebates on in-flight dining.
The card has an annual fee of $0 for the first year, then $79. It also provides a valuable sign-up bonus of 60,000 Bonus Points.
Not only that. The bonus includes a $100 Companion Flight Voucher. However, you must make at least $1,000 in purchases within the first 90 days of account opening. There are also no redemption fees.
Additionally, the card earns 3 points per $1 spent on eligible Spirit purchases. Further, you’ll earn 2 points per $1 spent on eligible dining and grocery store purchases, and 1 point per $1 spent on all other purchases.
Besides, the points don’t expire as long as the credit card account remains open. So there’s no pressure to book travel within a certain time frame.
You’ll also earn 1 Status Qualifying Point for each $10 you spend on the card. Plus, you can pool your points with up to eight friends and family members.
One of the drawbacks of the Free Spirit® Travel More World Elite Mastercard® is that it doesn’t offer free checked bags, unlike other airline credit cards.
This could be a significant cost, especially for those who fly Spirit frequently. After all, checked-bag fees with Spirit start at $30 one way.
Another disadvantage is that reward redemption options are limited, making it less flexible than other general travel rewards credit cards.
