The Reflex Mastercard® Credit Card allows cardholders an initial credit limit up to $1,000 without requiring a security deposit. That limit can double after 6 months of responsible use and on time minimum payments.
Applicants with a limited or bad credit history are welcome to apply. However, the initial spending limit and the annual fee depend on the person’s creditworthiness.
Speaking of fees, the Reflex charges quite a few of them. First, there’s the annual fee which ranges between $75 and $99 during the first year and then $99 every year after.
During the second year, there’s also a monthly maintenance fee of $10. There’s a possibility of waiving that fee if your credit limit is over $750.
Depending on your financial profile, the institution might also charge you a one-time additional fee of $30.
The APR is also based on creditworthiness and varies between 24.99% and 29.99%. Therefore, carrying a balance is not advised.
Applicants need a checking account for approval. The card offers zero liability protection and reports all account history to the three main credit bureaus in the country.
