What good points earning is if you can not use them for what you really want?
With this credit card you will earn points in a number of different ways and have access to flexible redemption options.
Read on and find out how the CIBC Aventura® Visa Infinite Card works.
CIBC Aventura® Visa Infinite Card: how does it work?
With the CIBC Aventura® Visa Infinite Card you can earn a welcome bonus of 15,000 Aventura points. This requires you to spend at least $1,000 a month for the first 12 months of card membership.
With it you will also earn rewards on every purchase. Some purchases, however, will give you more points than others.
If you make purchases through the CIBC Rewards Center, the card will reward you with 2 points for every $1 you spend.
If you use your card at gas stations, drug stores, and grocery stores, you will get 1.5 points per dollar.
All other purchases outside the previously mentioned categories will give you 1 point per dollar. This may not seem like a lot, but this card’s points are high-value.
1 point with the CIBC Aventura® Visa Infinite Card is not worth the usual 1 cent you get from other cards. This card’s flight rewards make your points worth 2.3 cents each.
That is a 2.3% return on your spending. Apply that math to all of your spending that gives you 1.5 or 2 points per dollar, and your return goes up to 3.5% or 4.6%.
You will get the best bang for your buck if you redeem your points for flights on any airline. However, this card allows you to use your points for a number of different things.
You can redeem your points for other types of travel, gift cards, financial services like investments, merchandise, statement credit, and more.
The card also offers excellent perks through the Visa Infinite program. They include Visa Infinite Concierge, Visa Infinite Dining Series, Visa Infinite Luxury Hotel Collection, and access to exclusive events.
Also, you will get access to a free Priority Pass membership, 1,200 airport lounges, and a number of other super exclusive benefits. Cherries on top.
