The Blue Business® Plus card American Express® is ideal for small business owners who prefer earning points on purchases over cash back.

With this card, you also get the power to use it beyond its credit limit, albeit not unlimitedly. Read on and find out how this works.

Blue Business® Plus card American Express®: how does it work?

Only business owners know how dynamic spending can get when it comes to maintaining business supplies.

Because of that, every once in a while, you end up needing more credit than you actually have available.

With the Blue Business® Plus card American Express®, when situations like this happen, you have the power to use your credit card beyond its original credit limit.

This is possible thanks to its Expanded Buying Power feature.

The extra limit you have access to is something that the issuer adjusts based on how you use your card, your payment history, financial resources, credit record and other factors.

This means the extra limit is not unlimited. Also, this expanded limit is subject to variation based on the previously mentioned factors.

The card earns 2X Membership Rewards points on every dollar you spend on business purchases up to the first $50,000 per year. After that, you will earn 1X Membership Rewards points per dollar.

Depending on how you choose to redeem your points, they can yield a value of 0.5 to 1 cent per point.

You can redeem points for travel, gift cards or statement credit.
