Apple Card: how does it work?
Issued by Goldman Sachs, the Apple Card is the first consumer card the bank’s ever produced.
It has international Mastercard coverage, which means you can use it anywhere in the world that accepts Mastercard.
Applying for it is easy and you can do so via Apple Pay on your phone. The application process performs a soft inquiry, which means there’s no harm to your score.
The card also comes equipped with all sorts of security measures such as Face ID and Touch ID.
By making purchases and paying for them with Apple Pay, you’ll get Daily Cash rewards. All earned cash back is deposited into your card daily as real money.
You’ll get 3% on Apple Products and eligible purchases at partnered merchants (such as Uber, Nike, T-Mobile and more)
The Apple Card also provides a 2% Daily Cash on all other purchases you make with Apple Pay. You can also use the physical card anywhere, but that will grant you a 1% return on all purchases.
There are no monthly, annual, maintenance or foreign transaction fees attached to this card. However, the APR can get as high as 24.99% based on your creditworthiness.
So paying your balance in full each month is a must if you want to avoid interest.
