How to apply for Citi® Diamond Preferred® card

If you're looking for a credit card with a long 0% Intro APR, read this post to learn how to apply for the Citi® Diamond Preferred®.

It is the best card for balance transfers because it has an ultra-long 0% intro APR period. That works for both balance transfers and purchases. Not to mention, the card has no annual fee.

Citi® Diamond Preferred®: how does it work?

How about well over a year of 0% APR? With the Citi® Diamond Preferred® you get that rate for 21 months.

This Intro APR is valid for all balance transfers you make within the first 4 months of opening your account.

For regular purchases, the 0% APR period is 12 months from account opening. Their 0% APR period makes this a very good choice for people working towards getting out of debt.

However, this card does not earn rewards, which makes it a short-term option. Once you have paid off your balance, you might want to move to a more profitable card.

And, of course, as you probably know, there is no such thing as a free lunch. Even though the APR is 0%, the transfer itself has a cost.

The card charges either $5 or 5% of the amount you transfer (whichever is greater). There are other credit cards in the market that do not charge this transfer fee.

However, they also offer shorter 0% APR periods. If you know it will take a long time for you to pay off your balance, the Citi® Diamond Preferred® might still be a good option.
