If you wish to start your Discovery Bank Gold Card application, you must first open a Discovery Bank account. 

It can be either a banking suite, a credit card account, a transaction account with bundled fees, a transaction account with pay-as-you-transact fees, or a savings account.

You can open your account by downloading the app and applying in as little as 5 minutes. Alternatively, you can leave your details on the Discovery website, and they will call you back.

To qualify for a Discovery Bank Account you must be a South African citizen or foreign national with permanent residency in South Africa.

You must also be 18 years or older, and able to provide a South African ID number. You also qualify if you already have either a Discovery Life plan, Discovery Insure plan, Discovery Invest policy, qualifying Discovery Health plan or Vitality Health membership.

To open your account just download the and log in with your Discovery login details. Then, set up a Facial ID. After that, choose the Discovery Account, accept the terms and conditions and select “next”.

Now, enter your personal details and set up your virtual card. Then select “done” to finish the process.

Once you have your account set up, you can apply for the Discovery Bank Gold Card. Just log in with your Discovery login details, and search for the Discovery Bank Gold Card among the other cards.

Navigate the Discovery Bank Gold Card page and locate the “apply now” button on the page. After clicking it, fill out the application form.

You must be able to provide your full name, contact details, as well as employment status, income and expenses.

After that, review the terms and conditions of the card, including fees, interest rates and rewards programs. Then submit your application by clicking the “submit” button.

Now all you have to do is wait for the bank to process your application. They may contact you for further information or supporting documents.

If the bank approves your application, you will receive your card in the mail within a few days.
