FNB Premier Credit Card: how it works?

The FNB Premier Credit Card offers an extensive rewards program through its eBucks program. 

Cardholders can earn up to 15% back in eBucks at select retailers like Checkers, Shoprite, and Clicks, and up to an additional 15% back at Clicks for seniors over 60 on Wednesdays. 

EBucks can also be earned on Apple products at iStore, fuel purchases at Engen and Wesbank, and in-store and online purchases at eBucks partner retailers. 

For those who spend at least R 25 000 per month, the Smart Spend program offers the opportunity to earn up to R 600 in eBucks. 

Insurance premiums with FNB Life Insurance also earn eBucks. Rewards range from 15% to 40% back on Life Customized, Protect Series, and Life Simplified premiums. Plus, 15% back on FNB Short Term Comprehensive Insurance premiums. 

Additionally, FNB Foreign Exchange charges earn up to 50% back in eBucks. And, maintaining a minimum monthly balance of R 500 000 across qualifying FNB Savings and Investment accounts earns 100% of the monthly fee back in eBucks.

Travel benefits

The FNB Premier Credit Card also offers a variety of travel benefits. Cardholders can earn up to 4% back in eBucks on international spending with the FNB Global Debit Card or FNB Pay, and receive discounts on flights and car rentals through eBucks Travel. 

Receive up to 8 complimentary visits per year to Domestic SLOW Lounges and up to 12 bonus visits when booking flights with eBucks Travel. 

Also, enjoy a free Wimpy breakfast or burger at participating Engen 1Stops every quarter, and access to discounted coupons and special deals through eBucks Travel.

The card offers free global travel insurance to cardholders who purchase their flight tickets using the card. 

This insurance includes medical expense coverage of up to R 5 million. It also includes personal liability coverage of up to R 2.5 million for the first 90 days of the trip, as well as coverage for up to 8 travel companions.

Other FNB Premier Credit Card perks

Other perks include a free subscription to the Entertainer App, and the opportunity to earn up to 1GB of extra data by spending R 100 or more on the SIM each month. 

You can also earn up to 40% back in eBucks on video streaming (Netflix) and music streaming (Spotify) subscriptions when their family banks with FNB. 

However, rewards are limited to R 169 per month for Netflix and R 99.99 per month for Spotify.
