Fortiva® Credit Card: is it a good card?
Issued by The Bank of Missouri, The Fortiva® Credit Card has Mastercard coverage and you can use it to make purchases anywhere Mastercard is accepted. Since this is an unsecured card, you don’t need to put down a security deposit and can qualify for a $1,000 initial credit limit depending on your creditworthiness.
The annual fee is also creditworthiness-based, meaning you’ll have to pay between $29 and $175 during the first year. In the second year, that fee drops between $0 and $49. However, it is joined by a monthly maintenance fee between $5 and $12.50. The card’s APR ranges from 22.74% and 36%, so it’s best not to carry a balance from month to month.
Fortiva provides all cardholders with 3% cash back rewards on eligible gas, grocery and utility purchases and 1% on everything else. Members also get access to their credit score for free and can count on $0 Fraud Liability. The bank reports all payments to the three main credit bureaus in the country. Therefore, paying your bill on time and in full can help you improve your credit rating with responsible use.
