Opening a CD account
Go to Crescent Bank’s website and locate the “Banking” option at the top right third of the page, right next to the “Login” button.
Then, run your mouse cursor over the “Banking” option to reveal a dropdown menu.
On that dropdown menu, find and click on the “Certificate of Deposit” option. Then, on the next page click the “Open a CD Now” button, right in the middle of the page.
Now you may select whether you are a new customer, if you are already a customer or if you already have an application. For this guide, we are going to click on “I’m a new customer”.
This will take you to the next page where you must select the term of your CD, and how many you want. Once you have done that, click on “Continue”.
On the next page, inform whether you are applying on your own or with a co-applicant, and then hit “continue”.
Now, enter your personal details including first and last name, email address and primary phone number.
Then, select whether the phone number you have provided is a mobile phone.
Also, select “yes” or “no” to consent to be contacted at the phone number you have provided about your account.
Then, select whether you are a U.S. citizen. Now, scroll down to read the electronic consent before checking the box to confirm you have read it. Then, hit “continue”.
Once you have done that, the website will require a few more personal details such as your primary address.
Fill that in, and then scroll down to inform whether you have lived in the U.S. for at least 2 years.
Further below, inform them whether your primary address is the same as your mailing address.
Then select your employment status, enter your date of birth and Social Security Number.
Finishing up
Now, inform them whether the IRS has notified you that you are subject to backup withholding.
After that check the boxes to confirm you have read and certified the information is accurate, as well as authorize the bank to obtain reports and account information from credit agencies.
Now, hit continue. Then, enter the information for your personal identification and click on continue once again.
