Opening an account on your desktop
On Axos’ main page, locate the “Bank” option at the top right corner of the page. When you run your mouse cursor over it, it will reveal a dropdown menu.
On that menu, locate “High Yield Savings” and click on it.
Then, in the middle of the page, click the “Open an Account” button. When you do that, it will give you the option of adding a checking account.
For the purposes of simplicity, we are going to click the “No Thank You” button, but if you would like, click on “Add Account”.

Opening an Axos High Yield Savings Account on your mobile phone
On Axos’ main page, locate the three-line menu button at the top left corner of the screen. Once you click it, it will reveal a menu where you must click on “Personal”. Then, click on “Bank”.

Below, check the box to confirm you agree with Axos’ terms and conditions, and then create a username and password for your account. Once you have done that, click on “Start Application”.
Now, on the next page, select whether you would like to open an “individual”, “joint”, “trust,” or “minor” account. For the purposes of this guide, we are going to open an individual account.
The website will then present you with the option to use photo capture to open your account. But, for this guide, we are going to work with the manual entry. Click on “Enter Information Manually” to continue.
On the next page, enter your first and last names, your occupation and two security words. If you have a promo code, this is the time to use it too. Then hit “Save & Continue”.
Now enter your home address, Zip Code, city and state, and hit “Save & Continue” once again. The website will then ask you to confirm your home address for mailing purposes.
Once you have done that, enter your date of birth and Social Security Number for the website to verify your identity. Then click on “Accept & Continue”.
Now select which identification document you would like to upload, and then enter your identification number, issuing state and date, as well as expiration date. Hit “Save & Continue”.
Now select which address is displayed in your identification. Finally, review your information, check the boxes at the bottom of the page to confirm you agree to their terms, and hit “Accept & Submit”.
Congratulations! You are done!
