To get a Discover it® Student Chrome, you need to be at least 18 years old, have a valid U.S. address, have a Social Security Number, show proof of school enrollment and provide all required information during the application process.

Using your Discover it® Student Chrome responsibly will help you build a strong credit score over time. You need to make all monthly payments on time and keep your credit utilization low. Discover reports all payments to the three main credit bureaus in the country, which will increase your rating.

The initial credit limit is $500+ for the Discover it® Student Chrome Card. The amount may vary depending on your creditworthiness, income, debt and other data points. Discover determines your spending limit upon reviewing your application and there is no option to request a specific amount.

Discover offers a limited time 0% introductory APR for 6 months on purchases. After that period ends, the standard variable APR is between 15.24% – 24.24% based on your creditworthiness. You’ll also get a promotional 10.99% intro APR for 6 months on balance transfers. After that, a variable between 15.24% – 24.24% applies.
