It actually does not. In the past, the Group One Platinum Card reported to a few major credit bureaus but since January 2022 it has stopped doing so. Reporting to credit bureaus is the one thing that is going to help you raise your credit score. So if you are looking to build or even rebuild your credit, there are other cards in the market more well suited for that purpose.

The Group One Platinum Card is a merchandise catalog card issued by the Horizon Card Financial Services. It is not suited for purchases in merchants other than the Horizon Outlet online store. If you try to make purchases outside the Horizon Outlet environment, your card will be declined, and you will not be able to make the purchase.

Getting a credit increase with the Group One Platinum Card typically takes around three months. In order for you to become eligible for a credit line increase you must be on time with your monthly membership fee, and preferably with your balance payments as well. You will most likely be declined an increase if you make a formal request before the previously mentioned three-month period.

You can cancel your Group One Platinum Card card through the issuer’s website by logging into your account and making the request from there. Alternatively, you can contact the issuer by phone calling (800) 251-6144, and then request the cancellation directly with one of their officers. Before you request the cancellation though, remember to make sure you have paid down any outstanding balance which you have not yet paid. Otherwise it will not be possible to cancel it.
