Account types
Alliant Credit Union has several types of accounts available, including checking, savings, CDs, and other accounts. The checking accounts, such as the High-Rate Checking, offer an APY of 0.25%. Plus, no monthly service fees or minimum balance requirements.
You must make at least one electronic deposit per month to earn dividends. The Teen Checking account is available for members who are 13 to 17 years old and also earns an APY.
The High-Rate Savings account offers an APY of 2.95% with a minimum deposit of $5 and a $100 average daily balance requirement.
The Alliant Kids Savings Account is for children aged 12 and younger. This account charges no monthly fees as long as you opt for electronic statements.
Alliant also offers CDs, which it calls Alliant Certificates, with maturity dates ranging from 12 to 60 months. The highest APY you can earn with a CD from Alliant is 4.25% for a 60-month term, and a minimum deposit of $1,000 is required.
Alliant also offers Traditional, Roth, and SEP IRA Certificates, each of which earns the same APY as the regular Alliant Certificate.

In addition to its banking products, Alliant also provides a plethora of services. They include credit cards, home loans, vehicle loans, personal loans, and life, home, and auto insurance.
The credit union’s app, available for iOS and Android, allows members to perform a number of tasks. With it you can deposit checks, monitor balances, make payments, and ask questions about their accounts via a secure messenger.
