There may be variations when applying for this card from your phone or from your desktop computer. With that in mind, we have split the first part of the application process in two parts.

On American Express’ website, locate the three-line menu at the top left corner of the page and tap it. This will reveal a new menu where you must click on “cards.”

Once you click that the menu will expand, so you then have to tap “view all credit cards”. Then, on the next page, scroll down until you find where it says “browse all 18 cards”.

There you must scroll sideways until you find the Amex EveryDay® Preferred Credit Card. Once you have found the card, tap “view details” This will take you to an information page with all the info about the card.

To start the application process tap “apply now”. You may now skip to the “continuing with the application” section of this article.

On American Express’ website locate the “cards” option at the top left third of the page and click on it. This will reveal a dropdown menu where you must click on “view all cards”.

Then, on the next page, scroll down where it says “browse all 18 cards”. There you must scroll sideways until you find the Amex EveryDay® Preferred Credit Card.

Once you have found it, click on “apply now”. This will take you directly to the application form page.

Enter your full name in the first field, which will then automatically fill in the next two fields with your first and last name.

Then, enter your email address, date of birth, mobile phone number and home address. You must also enter your Social Security Number.

Further below, enter your total annual income, your non-taxable annual income (if any, and if you wish to inform), and your income source.

After filling it all in, click on “continue to terms”. You will then arrive at the terms page where you can review the terms for this card. If you agree with them, click on “submit”

You should receive a response in just a few minutes. Congratulations! You are done!
