Citi Rewards+® credit card: how does it work?

The Citi Rewards+® credit card is ideal for modest spenders. It’s unique “round up” offer can turn small purchases into profitable ones.

This card offers you an interesting “points back” program. With it, you get 10% points back for the first 100,000 ThankYou Points that you redeem per year.

Points are redeemable for travel and gift cards. The card also has purchase categories that allow you to redeem your points for statement credits.

Shopping online at eligible merchants is also possible using your points. Just use the “Shop With Points” option, and keep in mind point values may vary quite a bit depending on your redemption choice.

To put things into perspective, gift cards, in general, redeem at once cent per point. However, if you redeem them at Amazon.com, they may be worth only 0.8 cents each.

Statement credits yield even less, with a value of 0.5 cents per point. Transferring points to JetBlue’s TrueBlue loyalty program will net you 800 JetBlue points for every 1,000 ThankYou points.
