This card works in any store or merchant that accepts Visa, and it does not require credit checks for you to apply. Read on and find out how to get it today.

In order to be eligible for a Coinbase Card you must live in the U.S.. The exceptions are people living in Hawaii.

If you meet this criteria, you must then start a Coinbase account before you can apply for the card.

To start a Coinbase account go to Coinbase’s main web page and click the “sign up” button at the top right corner of the page.

Then, on the next page, select whether you would like to open an individual account or a business account.

Since most people applying for a Coinbase account would like to open an individual account, we are going to go with that one for this application guide.

Click on the “Individual” option and then hit the “get started” button. The website will redirect you to another page where you must enter your first and last names.

You must also enter an email address and create a password for your Coinbase account.

Once you have done that, check the box to certify you are 18 or older, and are in agreement with the User Agreement and Privacy Policy.

Now, click on “Create free account”. The website will send you a confirmation email. Go to your email, open Coinbase’s email and hit the “confirm email” button. 

Back on the website, enter your mobile phone number. The platform will then send you a code to confirm your phone number.

Now follow the on-screen instructions and enter the required information to complete your account opening.

Once you have the account, go to your Coinbase main user page. There you will see a number of tabs at the left-hand side of the screen. Locate the tab that says “Pay” and click on it. 

Then, on the next page, you will see a Coinbase Card section on the right-hand side. Right below it there will be an option that says “Join the waitlist”. Click on this option.

The waitlist exists because the Coinbase Card is coming soon. So in order to get your reservation, click on the “Join the waitlist” button that will show up on the next page.

The website will then show you a message that says “you’re on the waitlist”.

Once Coinbase has reviewed and approved your application, you will receive your card within a few days after the approval.
