Standard Bank World Citizen Credit Card: how does it work?
The Standard Bank World Citizen Credit Card is a black credit card with an R250,000 credit limit. It is excellent for individuals who appreciate traveling and high-end entertainment.
To qualify for the card, you must make a minimum monthly income of R25,000. The card comes with a monthly cost of R264 and an international transfer fee of 2.25 percent. Plus, a one-time initiation fee of R180.
Additionally, this card gets you up to 35% off on Emirates flights when you book through ‘Leisure Desk’. If you rent a car and get a chauffeur service through Avis, you can enjoy up to 25% off on your next rental.
You also get special privileges and discounts of up to 10% at ‘Luxury serviced apartments’ when abroad. Besides that, you get 10% off at Hirsch’s, and 10% off when you use your card for bookings through Hotels.com.
The card also comes with comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, lost luggage, and flight delays.
Plus, you get coverage on baggage delay of up to $300, and trip cancellation cover of up to $7500. You also get personal accident insurance of up to $500,000.
The card also comes with a dedicated private banker who can assist you with travel reservations and other banking issues you may have.
If you combine your Standard Bank World Citizen credit card with a Private Banking Signature Account, there is no monthly cost.
The Standard Bank World Citizen Credit Card has some great benefits but also some disadvantages. The credit card has a very high monthly fee of R264.00 which is the highest of all Standard Bank credit cards.
