FNB Aspire credit card: how does it work?

The FNB Aspire Credit Card is a low-cost credit card with a monthly fee of R42.00. To apply for this card, you must have a minimum income of R84,000.00 and a maximum income threshold of R449,999.00.

Further, when you open the card, you automatically receive debt protection with a maximum limit of R5,000.00.

Additionally, when you purchase return tickets with the card, you receive R5 million in global travel insurance. That is valid for the first 90 days of your trip, covering up to eight credit card-purchased tickets.

Aspire cardholders also receive two complimentary SLOW lounge visits per year at four airports in South Africa.

Also, the FNB Aspire Credit Card is linked to eBucks rewards. Therefore, cardholders can earn up to R150.00 in eBucks rewards when shopping at Checkers, Shoprite, USave, and Clicks stores.

Furthermore, intercape purchases are eligible for up to R150.00 in eBucks rewards per month.

However, to earn eBucks, account holders must make at least one payment, transfer, and/or purchase, except for those over 60.

The FNB Aspire Credit Card offers both free and billed transactions, with branch transactions being the most expensive.

Also, the card encourages users to transact through free digital platforms, such as the FNB app or internet banking.

While the credit card has an unlimited number of swipes, it has a few disadvantages. To qualify for the credit card, applicants must have a monthly gross salary of at least R7,000.00.

That is a substantial amount. Additionally, some transactions are costly, such as FNB branch cash withdrawals or withdrawals from international ATMs and branches.
