FNB Petro Credit Card: how does it work?
The FNB Petro Card is a credit card that caters to the needs of car owners in South Africa. There are two options available: a standalone card or a linked card that you connect to a credit card.
You can use the card for vehicle maintenance, petrol, toll payments, and other automotive needs. Also, to apply for the FNB Petro Card, you must earn a minimum annual income of R84,000.00.
Additionally, cardholders have to pay a monthly credit facility fee of R17.00 and a monthly account fee of R40.00.
Still, one of the standout features of the FNB Petro Card is the free AA roadside assistance. Also, the roadside assistance includes a number of free services.
These services also include roadside repair, changing of flat tyres, tow-in services limited to 40 kilometres round trip, and much more.
It also includes courtesy services that include car hire and overnight accommodation for cardholders and four of their passengers.
The FNB Petro Card also offers personalized interest rates and separate credit card statements. This helps cardholders manage their fuel and motor vehicle expenses.
You can use the card to purchase petrol at any fuel station in South Africa, as well as pay for tolls and vehicle maintenance.
However, it is essential to note that the card has some limitations. For instance, you can’t use it for any transactions other than those related to motor vehicle expenses.
Also, the FNB Petro Card has several fees, including a credit facility fee of R17.00, and an initiation fee of up to R175.00. It also comes with a monthly account fee of R40.00, and an additional card fee of R20.00, and others.
