Have a look at some of the benefits you have access to with TIAA Bank accounts.
TIAA offers a number of ways you can fund your TIAA Account. You can do it through a wire transfer from an outside account. You can also make a check deposit directly into your TIAA account. Another way to fund your account is to make a direct deposit. Remember that different TIAA Bank accounts have different minimum initial deposit requirements. So make sure you check those before funding your account for the first time.
Regardless of your TIAA Bank account balance, the bank will not charge any ATM fees and will reimburse up to $15 for out-of-network ATM fees automatically. Allpoint and MoneyPass ATMs accept TIAA Bank debit cards without incurring fees of any sort. Plus, if you manage to keep an average daily balance of $5,000 in your TIAA Bank account, the bank will reimburse ATM fees unlimitedly.
The TIAA Bank Yield Pledge® Checking account offers a variable rate depending on your average daily balance. Currently their APY is 0.10% for all balances. However, it is important that you keep in mind that these rates may change without notice. Also, remember that the minimum deposit necessary for you to open a Yield Pledge® Checking account is $100.
